Intimate Jasper Park Lodge Elopement | The Wallaces

Couple enjoys a craft beer together —lakeside with toes in the water— after saying their vows at the Jasper Park Lodge

Tracey and Ryan are one of those resilient couples whose wedding plans were railroaded by Covid more than a few times. They initially planned on getting married in Edmonton, AB in 2020. They wrestled with Covid for a year and a half, planning and re-planning over again. After much time and emotions spent they decided, “screw it—we’re eloping in Jasper.” It turned out absolutely perfectly.

Their day was simple and relaxed—most of it spent exploring and picnicking in the rockies they love. Tracey and Ryan had a handful of family and closest friends join them for their ceremony on the sundeck at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. Their Doodle, Arnie was there with figurative bells on. And after lakeside champagne and cake with their guests, we spent the rest of the afternoon exploring favourite spots in Jasper National Park. The day ended with a candlelit first dance outside their cabin while their guests watched from the fireside and a private outdoor dinner for two while the sun went down. Both of them said their wedding day turned out exactly how it was supposed to. Take that, Covid.

T + Ry, I’m so happy for you. Your partnership stands solid through maddening times and it radiates joy and unconditional love. It’s a pleasure to get to know and love you both.
